Frankfurt Christmas Market, Germany
A Christmas market, also known as Christkindlmarkt, Christkindlesmarkt, Christkindlmarket, and Weihnachtsmarkt, is a street market associated with the celebration of Christmas during advent, mainly the four weeks preceding Christmas Day. These markets originated in Germany and Austria but are now being held in many other countries.
In terms of the visitor numbers and size, the Frankfurt christmas Market is one of the most important Christmas markets in Germany. The elaborate and creative stand decorations, the scenis surroundings of the Römerberg and Paulsplatz and the huge christmas tree also make it one of its most beautiful.

法蘭克福的聖誕市場為德國首屈一指,它是歷史最悠久的聖誕巿場,早於1393年的文獻中已有該市場的正式記載,生於法蘭克福的德國大文豪歌德也是其捧場客。這個聖誕市場發源地不僅歷史悠久,更被譽為最美麗的聖誕市場——Romerberg廣場張燈結綵,中央豎立起30米高的聖誕樹,加上一座座設於廣場上的聖誕小木屋,全場瀰漫佳節氣氛。同時,附近的Nicholas Church會在早午晚三次敲響聖誕鐘聲,而逢星期三及六晚上6時更有傳統樂器演奏。
