The Grote Markt is the central square of Brussels. It is surrounded by guildhalls, the city's Town Hall, and the Breadhouse. The square is the most important tourist destination and most memorable landmark in Brussels, along with the Atomium and Manneken Pis. It measures 68 by 110 metres (220 by 360 ft), and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

布魯塞爾大廣場，是西歐比利時的首都布魯塞爾的中心廣場；1998年聯合國教科文組織將布魯塞爾大廣場列入世界文化遺產。

大廣場始建於12世紀；廣場面積不大，長約110米、寬約60米，被中世紀的行會建築所包圍。市政廳的塔樓建於1402年，高約91米，是廣場上最高的建築。

廣場十分富有生活氣息，各種酒吧、巧克力店、餐館點綴四周；人們坐在廣場上幽閒自在。法國作家維克多·雨果也曾居住在市政廳對面餐廳二樓現在有紅色玻璃的房間，他讚美這裡是「世界上最美麗的廣場」。天鵝餐廳是當年馬克思和恩格斯曾經生活過的地方，著名的《共產黨宣言》就在這裡寫成。

Antwerp is a city and municipality in Belgium and the capital of the Antwerp province in Flanders, one of Belgium's three regions. Antwerp's total population is 472,071 (as of 1 January 2008)and its total area is 204.51 km2 (78.96 sq mi), giving a population density of 2,308 inhabitants per km². The metropolitan area, including the outer commuter zone, covers an area of 1,449 km2 (559 sq mi) with a total of 1,190,769 inhabitants as of 1 January 2008.

Antwerp has long been an important city in the nations of the Benelux both economically and culturally, especially before the Spanish Fury of the Dutch Revolt. It is located on the right bank of the river Scheldt, which is linked to the North Sea by the estuary Westerschelde.

According to folklore, and as celebrated by the statue in front of the town hall, the city got its name from a legend involving a mythical giant called Antigoon who lived near the river Scheldt. He exacted a toll from those crossing the river, and for those who refused, he severed one of their hands and threw it into the river Scheldt. Eventually, the giant was slain by a young hero named Brabo, who cut off the giant's own hand and flung it into the river. Hence the name Antwerpen, from Dutch hand werpen—akin to Old English hand and wearpan (= to throw), that has changed to today's warp.

Djemaa el Fna is a square and market place in Marrakesh's medina quarter (old city). The origin of its name remains unknown: it means Assembly of the dead in Arabic, but as the word djemaa also means mosque in Arabic, it could also mean place of the vanished mosque, in reference to a destroyed Almoravid mosque.

The place remains the main square of Marrakesh, used equally by locals and tourists. During the day it is predominantly occupied by orange juice stalls, youths with chained Barbary apes, water sellers in colourful costumes with traditional leather water-bags and brass cups, and snake charmers who will pose for photographs for tourists. As the day progresses the entertainments on offer change: the snake charmers depart, and in the afternoon and evening the square becomes more crowded, with Chleuh dancing-boys (it would be against custom for girls to provide such an entertainment), story-tellers (telling their tales in Berber or Arabic, to an audience of appreciative locals), magicians, and peddlers of traditional medicines. As dark descends the square fills with dozens of food-stalls, and the crowds are at their height.

马拉喀什位于摩洛哥西南部，坐落在贯穿摩洛哥的阿特拉斯山脚下，有“南方的珍珠”之称。马拉喀什是柏柏爾语，意思是“上帝的故乡”。
